Grandpa Santa.....Christmas 2009

Owen tradition goes like this: Every year after we unwrap our gifts from Santa we put all the paper in the middle of the room and the kids along with Grandpa Owen bury themselves under the paper. Then they rise up on the count of three and the paper flies everywhere. It's a lot of fun.
Santa was good to everyone. We had SO many presents with everyone being there. Therefore, the paper was more fun than it's ever been. After we unwrapped christmas, parcipated in the owen paper tradition and cleaned up Mike, Dave, and Hadlie danced to Mike's and Dave's new music. Everyone had fun.

Christmas Eve....2009

This year was so much fun! Grandma Robins and the Owen clan were ALL together this year for Christmas. We had a really nice dinner and "the men" acted out the Navity this year. The cast: Dave, Joseph; Dennis (grandpa), Mary; doll, baby Jesus; Mike, Angel; and Sam, Wiseman. It was quite entertaining. I loved that Mary had a beard this year. I guess they didn't have razors then either.
We watched the night before Christmas. The kids were very excited. They ran around playing and screaming all night. Hadlie prepared a treat for Santa and his 9 reindeer. She left out some cookies and milk for Santa and 9 carrots for the reindeer. She also left Santa a really nice note thanking him for coming. She is SO SWEET!

YM & YW Ogden Light Activity

We took the Young men and Young women to Ogden City lights before Christmas. I took Hadlie with me. We had a good time BUT it was SO COLD!

Happy Birthday Sam, Dec. 4, 2009

We celebrated Sam's Birthday at Red Robin with his and Jen's families. It was a lot of fun. We gave him a birthday cake/congrats cake(for his new job)! Tage stepped on it on the way out of Sam's Club. So the one side was messed up. But it sure tasted GOOD! Happy Birthday Sam Dawg!

We Are The Robertson's....

Sam and I are products of the Spanish Fork Singles Ward. When we met, Sam was the ward mission leader and I was a stake missionary. We dated for 3 months then I served a mission. After I returned home we married in November 1999. We have four beautiful children: Hadlie, Daxton, Tage, and Paizlie. Our family is growing bigger and better everyday. Since we don't live close to our immediate families we hope this blog will capture our memories we are making and allow our families and friends to watch us grow and progress everyday.

Daxton

Daxton is 7 years old. He is our perfectionist. He works on something until it looks just so. He runs on his own time schedule. He is very anaylitical. We think he'll follow in his Grandpa Owen's and Uncle Dave's footsteps one day and become an Engineer. Daxton loves to play with his friends, play baseball, and play piano. He loves playing the Wii. He's very good at it. Daxton knows how to do things right: he starts out slow until he figures all the in's and out's then he cruises through the task. Daxton loves his mom. He and Jen have a strong bond. He loves school. He's a good listener and a great big brother to Tage.

Paizlie

Paizlie is 2 years old. She is our peacemaker. She has brought alot of happiness and joy into our lives. She is always happy. She loves to play with her stuff dogs, her babies, and her brothers and sister. She mimic's her siblings all the time. She wants to be a big kid too.Paizllie is a 100% grandpa girl. She LOVES, and I mean, LOVES her two grandpa's. She makes me open up our blog almost everyday so she can see pictures of her two grandpa's. She has a very sweet spirit and nature about her. We are so glad she came to our family.

My Dad's A Hero

I, Jen, illustrated this book for two friends of mine, Jewel Armstrong and Rebecca Christensen, whom wrote the book. Together, we self published it in 2007. We have been sending it to military families and military schools around the nation to help children with deployed parents. Our book perviously won the 2007 Golden Quill Award from the American Authors Association and the 2007 Don Hanson Award for Creativity from the Military Writers Society of America. We now have learned that Scholastic Books is now going to carry it for the next 7 years in their book order magazines. We are very excited about it. It's so awesome!
