California Trip.....April 25-May 6, 2010

Tage, Paizlie, and I went to California to help my sister-in-law, Jamie. She is pregnant with triplets and was put on bed rest. We went down to help and spend a week with Jamie, Mike, Trae, and Aizlynn. We had SO MUCH FUN! Mike and I sung and danced around, like our typical selves, and the kids played, while poor Jamie laid. (Jamie is such a trooper in her situation. I admire her strength.) The week went by too fast, as it usually does when I am with my brothers. Thank you for letting us come and help. We miss and love you guys so much!

The drive worked out great. My best friend, Ali, wanted to go visit her mom for a week so she and her kids rode down and back with us. It was nice because I didn't have to make the trip alone with Tage and Paiz. Ali's mom lived right on the way to Mikes so I only had a couple of hours to drive alone. We had so much fun with the kids. They did AWESOME!
Here is our trip...

The kids, Ali, and me. We were at the gas station stretching and waiting for Ali's dad to pick her and her kids up...

We went to Lover's Point Beach. We had so much fun. The kids got soaken wet. Mike and I were laughing at how much fun the kids were having....

After we left Mike's and Jamie's me and the kids stayed at Ali's mom's Ranch for a day. The kids had so much fun. They swam in the pond, rode on the golf carts, played in the sand box, and we rode around the small town Ali grew up in. Her family was so nice and we had an enjoyable time. It was a perfect way to end our California trip.

Happy Birthday Daxton!.....April 10, 2010

Daxton...Happy Birthday, It's Your Birthday!
Dear Daxton,
Your family ALL loves you Daxton. I can't believe how big you're getting! It seems like yesterday that I brought you home from the hospital. I remember bringing you home and Hadlie was SO excited to be with you.
The day after you came home was Easter. I remember laying on the bed with you and Hadlie. Hadlie was waiting impatiently for dad to come home from a meeting at church so she could see what the Easter bunny brought. So you, her, and I sat on the bed and Hadlie held your hand and told you how much she loved you. She also told you all about the Easter Bunny and the eggs that were hidden downstairs. It's memories like those I treasure. You're both so big now and I can't believe you're 7 years old.
I love you and thankful for what a wonderful boy you are. You always make me smile. You always try to do what's right. You're much like your dad in that way. I can't wait to see all the great things you will continue to do. Happy Birthday and thank you for being such a wonderful son!

Easter Egg Hunt......April 3, 2010

Every year we go to my Grandma's for her city's annual Easter Egg Hunt. This year, like the last, it was FREEZING, to say the least. The kids had a fun time and got lots of candy. However, they froze!

The Silver Tooth.......March 22 , 2010

I had to take Hadlie to the dentist this morning for an emergency tooth removal. It's one of those situation that COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED if the MOM was more observant.

Hadlie had been complaining about her capped tooth hurting her for over a week. Every time she would complain to me about it, I would say,"you're fine Hadlie...be tough." She would show me where it hurt and I didn't see anything wrong... until this morning. She showed be her gum and it was very swollen and very red. It looked awful. I immediately called the dentist and took her in. Of course, it was an abscessed tooth. Her permanent tooth was trying to come down and her baby capped tooth was sticking in place causing her permanent tooth to shoot out the side of her gums. (Why would that be painful?)

The dentist said he'd have to remove it. In fact, it was so swollen he had to keep shooting Novocain up into her gums to get in numb. She was a mess. So out it came 30 Min's later. AND I FELT LIKE THE WORST MOTHER EVER for not listening to her complaints.

GOOD JOB JEN!
