Red Hot Fourth....July 4, 2010

It is our traditional fourth of July in West Point, which is always a blast! We had Trae and Aizlyn with us, it was fun to take them with us. We hit the parade in the morning, then we stayed at the park ALL day! Sam, Hadlie, and I played BINGO. We did NOT win, but our friends did, so that was exciting! Then the kids got their faces painted, jumped in the bounce houses, checked out the reptile exhibit, fished in the fish pond, ran through the bounce houses slides, and did it all over again and again. We also watched a few eating contests and a few dance groups perform. Then towards evening we had dinner, provided by the city. After that we headed to the King's for the famous West Point fireworks, which are shot off in their back yard. Paizlie hated them. We got home pretty late and all the kids were WASTED! We had a FUN FULFILLED red hot fourth, once again!

Water Fall Canyon.....June 30, 2010

I'm in the Young Women's and we took the girls on a long hike to certify for Girls Camp, it was a great hike. It was long and a little difficult, I loved it. Most of the girls did great. We had a few that struggled but over all it was a lot of fun and the waterfalls were beautiful.

Swimming with Grandpa and Grandma Owen....June 28th, 2010

While my mom was in town with Trae and Aizlyn, we took a trip to the Payson pool. It was fun. We had a little party for Tage's Birthday. Jamie's little sister and brother met us there too. It's a fun little water park. The kids loved the lazy river the most.

Back to the 90's/High School.....June 26, 2010

So Mike ran up the stairs and said, "Jen, you'll never BELIEVE what mom saved? I said, "What?" "She saved ALL of our jeans from High School, she even saved my nasty old jeans I used to work in the bakery with!", said Mike. The next thing I know he is walking the runway with his old holey jeans from High School. I started to laugh my head off.

He then said, "I think she saved some of your 'LEE' jeans." I said, "Bring those bad boys up." Surely enough, they were my "LEE" jeans from Junior High. Mike said, "I bet you can't even get into those sweet Lee jeans." I said, "Wanna bet!" The next thing I did was waxed up and SQUEEZED into the jeans. It took me 10 minutes to get into them and my fat was bursting into and out of any available space. I was suffocating and I couldn't button them up but I finally got them on. I put on a pair of my moms high heels and I then walked the runway. Mike and I were laughing so hard.

So here's to Lee Jeans, holes in Jeans, and to THE 90's BABY! Cyprus Pirates ROCKED (and still do)!

Oh to be a kid again....June 26, 2010

After the funeral the kids wanted to run through the sprinklers. It had been a hot day so Jamie and I let the kids run through the sprinkler in their clothes. They had SO much fun and we had SO much fun watching them. Sometimes I would give anything to be a kid again, life is always so enjoyable when you're a child...

Summer Swimming.....June 23 & 25, 2010

We have a really fun aquatic center by us that we LOVE to go during the summer. The kids always have so much fun there. These are a couple of occasions we have been there...

Me and my friend, Abbey, took our kids this day. We had a great time. I only had Tage and Paizlie with me, my other two were with their grandma Bobbi. It made for a perfect day because Abbey's kids are just a bit younger than Tage and Paiz, they all played well together. We were there only for a couple of hours then the kids were ready to leave.

On this occasion our little family went. We had a great time, Sam ran into his buddy, Jeff, whom he used to work with when we first moved up here to West Point. We never would've thought we would run into Jeff or his wife there because they since have moved to Salt Lake. It was good to hang out and visit with our friends, Jeff and Jaqulyn, for a couple of hours.
