Lakeside Back to School Party.....September 10, 2010

The kids school had a really fun Back to School Party this year. They had all kinds of bounce houses and games for the kids. The kids had a fun time running around playing with their friends....
Hadlie won a round of "Minute to win it"
Daxton on the playground.
Tage won a smiley face finger puppet.
Paizlie and Jen hanging out.
Paizlie and Sam, she was getting tired and ready to go.

AbStRaCt ArT......September 7, 2010

Paizlie is getting into that fun stage I like to call "the dumping/throwing stage". Kids have so much fun dumping their food off their plates onto their highchair tray, then they love to throw the food onto the floor creating a mess everywhere. It's so amusing to them to watch things fall and hit the ground. They love to look below and see a new picture they've created by throwing food around. I guess it's the artist in them beginning to show. Most babies start with abstract art. It's just hard as a mom to see the beauty in their abstract art sometimes, right?

On that note, I do have to say I am getting more relaxed as I have more kids. I actually can walk into the room and start to laugh.

This is just a small example of abstract art Paizlie has created recently. This is not as extreme as some of her projects but it made me smile. I sat there watching her and snapping shots while she enjoyed herself. She was in HoG hEaVeN!

Pre-School's Back In....August 31, 2010

I have to say, TODAY IS A GREAT DAY! Tage started Pre-school. I am very excited for him and me too. This will be a good change for Tage to detach himself a little from mom, that being said, you can already imagine why this will be good for me.

This morning I thought T-man had a lot of anxiety about officially starting school today, he gave me kick-back all morning long about going. So, deep down inside I was really wondering how it would all play out....

We got to his school and he was fine to take some pictures, but overall he was a little grumpy. We walked to his class door and got his name tag. I pinned it on him. His teacher came outside and rang the bell. Then she called for him and all the children to come on in. I asked for a hug, he ignored me, and practically ran INTO the class. (What a clown!)

So I pretty much felt like he was just pulling my strings all morning long but all in all I was HAPPY he went in without giving me a hard time. I hope he has a great school year. I can't believe he is old enough for school.

Tage swinging...
Tage and Lucy on what Lucy likes to call "the treadmill"...
Tage and Lucy...
Tage in front of his door to his class room, getting his name tag...
Miss Mary, his teacher. (Daxton actually had Miss Mary too, so that's fun for Tage and Dax.)
Have fun T-Man. Learn lots, make new friends, and enjoy Pre-School!

Photos by Tage......August 24, 2010

Tage LOVES to take pictures! In fact, Sam and I have to erase at least 50 pictures from our camera he has taken when we download our pict's to our computer. We got him a camera for his birthday hoping he would only use his camera but now he uses both of them. :) Today I was browsing through his pictures while erasing them and came across these... I edited them a bit, but they are actually really cute!

If he doesn't do something with photography someday we will be very surprised. Good Job T-Man!

Crazy pairs with crazy hairs......August 23, 2010

Hadlie and some of her friends have been itching for colored hair extensions. So after the first day of school I took them all to get their hair extension. They were so cute and had a great time. They each chose a different color. Here are the final results...

Riley and Cambrie each got a bright pink color. These two have such light and dark hair that theirs showed up the best. Riley got fuchsia and Cambrie got hot pink.
Hadlie and Kelsey got more subtle colors for their hair. Hadlie got purple and Kelsey got blue.
It's the beginning of all the fun growing up things to do for these four. What I wouldn't give to be their age again. Life is so much fun!

Back to School.....August 23, 2010

Hip Hip Horray, school starts today! I can't believe yet another summer has passed and the kids are back to school. I usually am ready for school to start but this year I have mixed emotions. I really wish we had one more month before school started. The summer has flown by and it was a little crazy with everything that was going on in our family.

It's always an adjustment for me to have them all back home during the day for the summer and an adjustment for having them gone again when school is back in. But in a few weeks things will be back on track.

I am really excited for the kids and the teachers they have this year. They both have WONDERFUL teachers and they both will be learning an instrument in their respective class. Hadlie is going to learn the Ukuele and Daxton will be learning Guitar. Tage starts pre-school and I love his teacher also. It will be an exciting year to watch them grow and learn.

Here's to the upcoming school year! Good Luck Hadlie, Daxton, and Tage.
Dad saying good-bye and good luck!
Getting loaded into the car!
Here we are....
Daxton in front of his class,
Hadlie in front of hers!
I'll miss you both! Work hard, play hard, and enjoy learning. Education is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself!

Soccer Maniac.....August 21, 2010

Hadlie is our little athlete. She is very competitive. Anything she puts her mind to, she accomplishes. Today was her FIRST soccer game of the season. She scored 10 goals out of the 16 her team scored total. She scored the first 4 goals in less than the first 10 minutes of the game. She kicked booty! Way to GO Hadlie!
