I usually don't just blog my feelings, but tonight I thought I would. I am just going to put it out there.... I feel like a HORRIBLE MOTHER and my three year old is pushing me (and Sam) over the edge.
I do realize this is partially our fault. We let him get his way so he'll be quiet. It's just easier to not hear him cry and whine for things. Unfortunately, NOW, that's all Sam and I hear, crying and whining. (You would think by her 3rd child she would have the "mothering thing" down. But, NO! She doesn't.)
I need any advise to help me get my three year old under control. Tage is so much fun. He cracks us up and is very passionate about life. However over these past 7 months he's developed this attitude and I am at my whits end. He's whinny, sassy, and runs me ragged. He clings onto me every second of everyday. Seriously, I SHOULD NOT have to go to the bathroom with him EVERY TIME he goes potty. He's been trained for almost 9 months now. AHHHH! The kid clothes himself every morning, that should tell you he knows how to pull up his britches.
I know it is partially due to having a new sister but, enough is enough. I keep telling myself it will change. However, here we still are, fighting it out. I am putting my weapons down and surrendering to GOOD ADVISE. I need to change and I need HELP.
I have been praying a lot about how to change my mothering skills, or lack thereof, so that I can help him behave better. So, now I ask you mothers for some GOOD advise. (I still have number 4 who one day will enter into her 3's and by golly, I want to HAVE IT DOWN by then.)

SAM GOT THE JOB!
This morning Sam we found out that he got job he interview for at the U of U! We both cried and thanked Heavenly Father for opening the windows of heaven on our family. We have been waiting for this type of opportunity for a long time now. Sam has never been SO EXCITED about a job before. We are so proud of Sam and know he will do a great job! I guess he will have to convert from blue to red."Good Job Dad! We knew you could do it!"
Poor Princess P.....take 2!
Two weeks ago Paizlie was back on her breathing treatments again. This time she came down with RSV. "RSV?" "Really?" The doctor said, "Yep, but look at it this way, she won't get it in January now." I thought to myself.... "thanks doc for the reassuring news". Paizlie never got real sick this time and her oxygen levels were high so she did great. She's a fighter and such a good baby. P.S.- Don't you love her hat?

Here's to TEN years....Happy Anniversary!
It's crazy to think Sam and I have been married TEN years now. How time flys. I look back at these pictures and think...wow we looked so young or wow we are getting old...
Thank you for 10 years Sam. We've had our ups and downs but I'm glad we're still in it together. I am thankful I have you and our four beautiful children. We have been blessed and I look forward to another 10 more with you. Happy Anniversary! I love you!

Good Luck Dad!
I have to say I am affraid to post this...I don't want to jinks anything. However, the kids wanted to make a poster for their dad for his big day tomorrow. Sam has a job interview with the U of U tomorrow. He has to give a big presentation, he's been working on it for a couple of weeks. We PRAY he gets the job. We just wanted to wish him luck.

Halloween.....2009
My dad really knocked himself out this year. These pictures aren't going to do this post justice. This year Grandpa Owen simulated his skeleton, we like to call Yorik, to sing "Halloween Stew". He had his witch participating too. In years past, the witch stirred her brew. However, this year, he simulated a skeleton head to pop out of the brew during the song. It spit water on you. He had lights in the back ground and shadows of trees cut out to make it look haunted. Then in the grave yard he had Albert pop out of a casket, Clyde rise up to ten feet tall, then King Leer hiding behind a tomb stone while lights flashed to the beat of the music playing. It was quite a sight. He always out does himself....and everyone comes to see his "new creation".
Halloween Parade and Party!
Daxton had a fun Halloween celebration this year. His grade had a cute Halloween performance. They sung about six Halloween songs. Grandpa Owen, Grandma Bobbi, Aunt Kayla, and Maezlie all came up to see him perform. We watched the school Parade then we enjoyed watching Dax perform with his grade. He was really cute. Later that day I went and helped at his class party. The room mother knocked everyones socks off. She threw a GREAT party. The kids got spoiled and had a blast.

Poor Princess P!
Paizlie got sick last week and had to start doing breathing treatments. She is so funny because the first couple of times I put the mask on her to do her treatment she would smile and goo. She thought it was pretty entertaining, which of course, I did too. We would exchange smiles and I would laugh watching her. A week later, it's not so fun anymore. She hates them. Poor Princess P! We hope she gets better soon!

Conference weekend cabin tradition.....
My uncle Dave reserves his companies work cabin every fall for conference weekend. When we were younger we used to sleep over Saturday night then watch conference with the whole family on Sunday. Now that we all have kids, we go up Sunday morning and have lunch together then watch conference. This year it was raining. The rain made all of the leaves more brilliant then ever. You could see about every color on a paint pallet as you looked out over the valley of Midway from the cabin. It was beautiful.
The kids all had a wonderful time. They got a little muddy and they found this HUGE chocolate lab that was wandering up on the mountain side. Of course they all wanted to find its owner. They brought the dog up on the deck and the thing was as big as a bear.
The kids also enjoyed catching wasps that were in the window seals of the cabin. My cousins little boy has a bee catcher gun that sucks the bees into the barrel of the gun then it spits them back out into little storage hive. It's pretty interesting and the kids are fasinated with it. It comes to the cabin EVERY year. Hadlie, of course, was enjoying the toy and got stung. They caught well over 20 wasps....CRAZY KIDS!
Happy 57th Nanny!...October 1st
We celebrated Nanny Birthday on October 3rd. We all went to Spanish and we had a special birthday dinner for Nanny... We had Swiss Cheese Fondue!!! It was really good. Me, Dave, Meagan, and Grandpa made the meal while Nanny watched Tage and Paiz. Sam went to Salt Lake with his dad and brother to the Priesthood session, so he missed out. Grandpa bought these cool candles that burned different colors, he always finds something fun to light up the party. I think Nanny like the sparkling candles just as much as the kids did.
MIDWAY.....NEEDED weekend cont'd
On our overnight trip to Midway we went to see the Crater at the Homestead. We went inside the crater to check it out. The water in there is 90 degrees all year long. The Crater goes straight down 65 feet. Many people scuba certify there or just go to soak in the warm waters. It was pretty neat. Then, we were able to see some deer and caterpillars. The trees were beautiful and the colors were brilliant. We had an enjoyable time.

NEEDED....Weekend Getaway!
Sam and I decided to take the kids on a NEEDED vacation since we haven't been able to do one all summer. We surprized them with a nights stay at the Zermatt in Midway, thanks to my uncle. The kids had a lot of fun, they swam till their hearts were content. Thanks uncle Glen, we had a wonderful time.

Memories of the past two marathon years....
So I was looking at my pictures and saw the two marathons I ran. The first was two years ago, the St. George, and the second, was the Top of Utah... I really started feeling sad at how out of shape I am in now and how IN SHAPE I was then. I remember how accomplished I felt running 26.2 miles... So, for my own sake I am going to recommit to running so next year 2010 I can post my 3rd marathon. So, Dave and Meghan get ready to run St. George or Ogden next year...

"The Fall Picn's"
What do they say? When a situation gives you lemons, make lemonaid? Last night for FHE the kids wanted to go pick the different color fall leaves; Sam and I told them we'd go tuesday night because they weren't done with their home work. So, as promised, we did just that...after Sam got home we headed up the canyon. The weather was turning sour but we decided to go anyway. We headed up Ogden Canyon and went through Trappers loop. The leaves were beautiful. However, we couldn't find a place to picnic and by the time we got near home we got caught in horrible traffic so we decided to picnic in the car. The kids enjoyed it even though we didn't get out and pick their fall leaves. Maybe this weekend we'll try again...
So here's to the car picnic....
