Something Cute about you....Tage! February 21, 2010

The other night I went into check on the kids after they were all snuggled away in their beds. My heart melted when I saw Tage there sleeping.

Many of you know I have been trying to get him unattached from me. I've been trying to help him do more things on his own. But after seeing him peacefully sleeping I couldn't help but think how lucky I am he loves me so much.

So an event today at church made me think of this sweet picture.....

Today we were sitting in Sacrament meeting and Tage was acting up a bit. Sam got up to take him out. He gently grabbed Tage by the hand and they started to walk out into the hall. Just before they reached the door to go into the hall I saw Tage look up at Sam and with that same sweet look on his face in the sleeping picture he said: "Dad, I want to be a nice boy!" It melted my heart.

It's these moments that I want to treasure...

Though at times my kids drive me crazy, they say and do the sweetest things to help me remember who they are and how much happiness they bring into my life. I am thankful they help me refocus and I am grateful they bring so many smiles to my face.

Happy Valentines Day!!!......February 12, 2010

This year Sam and I decided to celebrate Valentines Day with the kids. Sam bought a heart shaped pizza from Papa Johns and I bought decorations and decorated the table for our dinner. The kids loved it. We had a nice evening with them. We tried to take them to Redbox to rent a movie to watch together, but nothing was out. So we came home and pulled out SpongeBob. I don't know how more romantic it gets after SpongeBob Square Pants. But hey, we had great family fun. Isn't that what its about? Happy Valentines Day kids! We love you!

Our First Book Signing.......February 10, 2010

Jewel, Becca, and I, had our first SMALL book signing today. We, along with many other authors, met at a book store, Dragons and Fairies Bookstore, in Eagle Mountain to sign our book. We didn't sell much. However, we did sign our Scholastic contract, so that was exciting. We enjoyed the night together. Jewel, Becca, nor I haven't seen each other in a while. Almost over a year and 1/2. It was good to meet up.

I think the two greatest things that happened this night were: one, we got our contract signed, and two, Jewel's father came all the way from Colorado to come to this event. He was so proud of her. It melted my heart.

Here's our event:
Jewel, Becca, and me...

Us signing our contract with Scholastic...

The Scholastic book order that will come out in March...LOOK FOR IT!

Us and the other authors...

Jewel and her father...

Girls Night Out!......February 05, 2010

Almost every month our ward has a GNO! It's so much fun to get out of the house and hang with the girls. This month we went out to eat at Warrens then we went and saw the movie Dear John. I think most of the group would agree with me that the movie was a little disappointing. It was a good movie until the end, the end stunk. I give it 3 stars. But it was a 5 star night all in all. We had an enjoyable evening. P.S.---Maria, loved the ride with the 80's music. All you need now is some strung pom poms to go with your fuzzy dice in your boat of a car. Love it! You go girl!

Tired of Bouncin'......February 10, 2010

Sometimes TOO MUCH fun is tiring....This morning Paizlie was in her jumper bouncing, giggling, and having a great time as I was running on my treadmill next to her. I was about 1/2 way through my run when I looked over at her and poor Princess P had fallen right to sleep. She must had been exhausted; I don't know how anyone could have fallen asleep with the sound of the treadmill going, me running, and the T.V. blaring. She's so cute! Sweet dreams Princess P.
