Poor Sweet Princess P.......January 30, 2010

Paizlie has the stomach flu. She has been sick all weekend. Sam and I have been up to our elbows in throw up. I think we have washed her bedding at least 4 or 5 times now and changed her outfits 10 or 11 times as well.

I feel so bad for her. It just keeps coming up and coming out. She is such a good girl though, she doesn't complain much and still keeps a smile on her face. I wish I could take it away from her. Hopefully, she is in the last stage of it.
Get better Sweet P!

Happily Ever After.......January 18 2010

I am in the Young Women's Presidency in our ward. On Tuesday we had New Beginnings. This year our theme was "Happily Ever After". We went ALL OUT PRINCESS. It turned out to be a really fun night.

The beehives were in charge of the food and decorations. Their leader Abbey did an amazing job. She and the beehives made soup, princess shoe shaped bread sticks, salad, and cute princess crown cookies along with princess decorated brownie balls. It was darling.

Our YW President, Cindy, decorated each table in a princess theme. There was: Princess and the Frog, Little Mermaid, Snow White, Beauty and the Beast, ect. We strung lights and huge colored paper balls across the gym as well. It was so beautiful.

The YW leaders made the girls a temple block to take home with them. It said on the picture: I'll Go Inside Someday. (The temple blocks represented their castle). We also had a princess crown for each girl as well.

To finish the princess theme off, we have an amazing lady in our ward who owns a bridal shop and she was so kind to let the girls and leaders borrow formal dresses. Everyone looked so beautiful.

The night went really well. The girls all showed up looking like true princesses. We ate a royal dinner fit for a princess. The new beehives who are coming into YW's this year were introduced, then we had a wonderful speaker, Kristina Green's mom, speak to us. She spoke on her "Happily Ever After"and encouraged the girls to look to the temple to find their "Happily Ever After". She was an incredible speaker. The spirit was very strong. I hope each girl was touched by her message.

After, the girls did a craft I brought; they made a paper jeweled purse. Then, Abbey took each girls picture and also another picture with their mothers.

It was an amazing night. The girls looked beautiful and I am sure they had a royal ball.

Field Trip #4......January 13, 2010

This morning we went with Tage's pre-school to the Post Office. The kids learned what happens to a letter when it's sent. They walked through the whole process with them; they were able to go in the back and see where they sort, store, and send out the mail. They also were able to see the back of a mail truck full of mail ready to be delivered.

I think the kids enjoyed the field trip. After the tour they got to mail themselves a letter. Hopefully, Tage's letter will be here soon. ;)

Junior Jazz.......January 12, 2010

Daxton wanted to learn to play Basket Ball this year. He had his first game last night. (It was really the 2nd game because we got confused on when his game was last week.) However, he did GREAT! He shot a basket and scored a point for his team. It was fun to watch him run up and down the court. He really was having a wonderful time. He and all of his team mates were full of energy. I can't wait to see the progress they will make this season.

Go #34!

Happy Birthday Fin.......January 9, 2010

Our cute Nephew turned ONE. We went to his party and had a wonderful time.

Happy Birthday Fin!
He LOVED his cake!
Paizlie and Sam enjoying treats!
Hadlie and Kagen dancing to Dance Revolution!

Hey Soul Sister......January 9, 2010

We were on our way to our nephews birthday party and the kids were cracking Sam and I up. They were singing our family song: Hey, Soul Sister by Train. But what was even more entertaining about them is what they were wearing. They were each decked out in their own garb, having a great time singing along to Hey, Soul Sister. Even, little P was enjoying dancing along too while the others sang.

We love our kids. They make life so enjoyable! We know it will only be this special for a while so we are trying to enjoy every moment we can: Here's to one of those moments!

Her name is Lola.......January 8, 2010

These cute girls here are owners of this cute puppy. Her name is Lola, or Lolita, as I would say. If Vicki were to say, she'd sing: Her name was Lola, she was a show girl.... Lola lives with the two cute blonde girls.

Our friends and I are investors together. Sam and Bryce went to get Lola on Saturday. The girls were on pins and needles waiting for Lola to get here. They were so excited to meet and hold her. You can see what a fun time they were having by the look on their faces. Everyone could not get enough of this cute puppy.

Brooklyn, the cutie in the front, was so darling! She was checking on her, laying by her, feeding her, ect....She is going to be the best little mom to Lola.
Paizlie kept kissing and kissing her.

LOL.......January 4, 2010

Most of you that know me, know that I always enjoy a good laugh. I can find humor in just about anything because I have a stale sense of it...

Tonight, I was at Young Women's and my friend, Abbey, throws me a card. I said, "What is this?" She said, "It was on the bulletin board at work for you. I grabbed it for you since you didn't work the other night." I said, "Thanks, that was nice." I then proceeded to open it.

It was a BIRTHDAY CARD! "Yeah!" I thought to myself. Then I said, "I bet there is a 30% of coupon in there to help me celebrate my Birthday."I open the card ....Happy Birthday!, it said. Expect GREAT things! I said to Abbey, "Sweet! Expect Great things? Oh I am expecting, Guaranteed..."

Then, there was a little card inside the card. (I was sure it was my 30% off shopping spree.) The card read: Thank you for doing a Great Job! Expect GREAT RECOGNITION! Then I noticed there was a scratch off on it. I told Abbey and my Young Women, "Wo-hoo! Here's my GREAT THING!" I began scratching the silver sticker off......

I finally scratch off the silver sticker, brushed off the shavings and behold...it said: FRONT PARKING SPOT FOR-A-DAY! LOL......"SWEET MAMA, Front Parking Spot for-a-day!" I said, "Abbey get your purse and lets go to Kohl's to get my birthday spot right away. We should just sit there and enjoy the view!"

All of that EXCITING HYPE for a front row spot. Good thing there isn't a designated Birthday Spot or any kind of special front row parking???????...... What the HECK?

Got to LOVE LIFE! What's life without a little humor? LOL! Abbey and I sure did.

Happy, Happy Birthday HADLIE!.....January 3, 2010

Happy Birthday, it's your Birthday Hadlie!
Hadlie,

I can't believe you are 10 years old. I woke up this morning and looked at my clock. It said, 9:06 a.m. I thought to myself, I can't believe it has been 10 years. You were born just after 9:00 a.m. January 3rd; it seems like it was yesterday.

Your delivery was a very special one for your dad and me. The night before you were born, your dad and I prayed that you would come before Grandpa Owen had to leave out of town for two weeks. You were his first grand child. After we closed our prayer. I went into labor and you were born one hour before he had to leave. It was a very special moment for everyone. Plus, you were Grandma Bobbi's first grand daughter. She was on pins and needles to meet you.

You are growing up so fast. You're dad and I love you so much. You are our special girl. You have so many beautiful qualities about you. You are very sweet. You have a very giving, loving heart. You are a leader and a friend. You are very outgoing and very athletic. You are very smart and witty. You are also very beautiful.

We love to watch you grow and excel at the things you do. Thank you for choosing us as your parents. We feel so blessed to have you as our daughter. You are wonderful and you are such a great asset to our family. I don't know what your brothers, sister, or me and dad would do without you. You are such a great helper. You make everyone around you happy.

I love to watch Paizlie when she is with you. She LOVES you so much. You are such a great big sister. I hope she models the great example you set before her.

We hope you have a wonderful Birthday! Happy Ten Years!

We love you,

Mom and Dad

We had a family party the night before her birthday. We invited our families and two of her friends over for dinner and cake. Then, on her birthday, Sam and I checked her out of school for lunch and took her to her choice of restaurant, Subway. Then we went to the Pizza Factory for dinner with the whole family. We had a lot of fun with her. I think she had a great birthday.

Kisses from Princess P.......January 2, 2010

Paizlie missed Hadlie's Birthday party because she was sleeping. Right before my parents left, she woke up, happy as a lark. She was being so cute. She just wanted to keep giving Nanny and Grandpa kisses.
I thought these pictures were so sweet...

Paizlie is such a sweet baby. When we were at Sam's parents house on Christmas, she kept laying her head on Grandpa Jerry's lap. She just wanted him to hold and love her. She also has a strong bond with Sam's mom, Bobbi. She is so tender with her grandparents.

Let's SKI baby.....December 30, 2010

I took Hadlie skiing again this year with my brother, Mike, his kids, and his friend, Troy, and his boy, Trevor. We all went together last year too. We had a FRREEZZING fun time. I do have say that last year was better because it wasn't 17 degrees out. It was SO COLD.

I don't do cold very well but, I survived it. I had to un-thaw a few times. I was grateful my niece Aizlyn was with me because I would ski with her for a while then she and I would go un-thaw for a bit. Then, we would head out again for more skiing.

Hadlie, of course, our athletic girl, did great! She really has picked it up well, being her second time skiing. Mike took her on her first black diamond this year. Mike said it was a little much for her but knowing Hadlie, I am sure she did fine. That girl accomplishes everything that is put in front of her. I love that quality about her. She also skied off a few small jumps this year too.

Mike, Trae, Hadlie, Troy, and Trevor skied all day long. They were cold but endured it. In fact, they all stayed and skied till 8:00 p.m. Aizlyn and I headed for home around 4:30.

Sam was sweet, when we got home, he had made all of us taco soup. It ended a chili day a warm way. Thanks Honey, your soup was "souper"!
