Field Trip to Clark Planetarium.....March 4, 2010

Hadlie's grade went to the Clark Planetarium for a field trip this morning. We had a great time. We were able to learn more about the solar system and the planets. We watch an IMAX 3-D film about the walks on the moon. It was called "Magnificent Desolation". It was AWESOME! Everyone LOVED it! It's a must see... It was about the 12 astronauts and their trips to explore the moon. It was incredible.

Hadlie loved a part in the movie where two of the astronauts discovered "Mount Hadley"(I wonder why?)....Mons Hadley is the northernmost of the prominent named peaks in the lunar Apennines. The great headland Mount Hadley rises more than 15,000 feet. It was an incredible find. They compared it to the depth of the Grand Canyon but of course it's on the moon.

Here's some of what we did...
